The Buckley House Restaurant is located in the heart of downtown Marietta on Front Street, near the confluence of the Ohio River and Muskingum River.
As of June 17, 2020 The Buckley House changed ownership. The new owners Jeff and Julia Brown are leading the way to improve your Fine Dining experience, starting with the fusion of Mediterranean, French, and American style foods. Long time natives of the Mid-Ohio Valley they are very excited to continue with The BuckleyHouse traditions, with a few new twists to make it their own.
Originally built in 1879 as a private residence, the house is listed on the Ohio Historic Register. Before it opened as a restaurant in 2008, The Buckley House served as a bed and breakfast for more than 14 years. A Victorian style home with double porches, The Buckley House exudes mélange of European/Southern charm in a historic setting.
Today, The Buckley House Restaurant comprises the first floor of the house in a chic and intimate setting. Guest seating also extends to the exterior front porch and back deck with its beautifully landscaped gardens.
“Foodies will love the culinary diversity offered by the area’s top chefs. Buckley House Restaurant features Mediterranean cuisine in an elegant, fine dining atmosphere. As one diner stated, “Its Mediterranean cuisine is expertly crafted and tastefully created.”
“Great place to eat. Always great specials. I’ve never been disappointed with anything. If you are looking for mid-east, Mediterranean style food, this is a gem of a place. When the weather is nice, the outside dining in the back creates a very relaxing dining ambiance. Marietta is very fortunate to have such a classy place! All time favorite local restaurant.”
“We go here a few times a year and each time I am amazed at the quality of the food and the wait staff. I would highly recommend. If going when the weather is nice they have wonderful outside dining on the porch or under the stars. Wine and beer only but excellent choices on both.”
