The Buckley House Restaurant is located in the heart of downtown Marietta on Front Street, near the confluence of the Ohio River and Muskingum River. Originally built in 1879 as a private residence, the house is listed on the Ohio Historic Register. Before it opened as a restaurant in 2010, The Buckley House served as a bed and breakfast for more than 14 years. A Victorian style home with double porches,The Buckley House creates a feeling of European/Southern charm in a historic setting. The Buckley House Restaurant comprises the first floor of the house in a chic and intimate setting. Guest seating also extends to the exterior front porch and back deck with its beautifully landscaped gardens.
Master Chef Emad Al-Masri is renowned for his eclectic and artistic culinary skills. Before opening The Buckley House Restaurant in 2008, Emad supervised culinary-trained chefs at Sfuzzi, a contemporary bistro in Cleveland. He also operated his own restaurant called The Middle Feast in North Naples, Florida.
Emad's cuisine stretches from Northern Italy to Lebanon to Morocco, but his menu ingredients are mostly local. Emad combines the highest quality ingredients with his creative artistry and eclectic background to produce exquisitely crafted dishes with a cultural flair.
